Arizona home school laws If your children are between ages 6 and 16 and you are planning to home school your children then the first thing that you want to do is to file an affidavit of intent to home school with the county school superintendent. Also the child you are preparing to home schools birth certificate 30 days prior to starting you home education. In the affidavit always include the Childs name, date of birth, current address, also the name, phone number and address of the parent. Home schooler must provide instruction in reading, grammar, math, social studies and science. Home schooled children living within a schools attendance area are eligible to try out and participate in interscholastic athletic sports on behalf of the school.
